Voice

This is my answer to that voice in the desert.

Woman, speak! Your voice, I hear it in the wind.
In the desert of your pain, come chill my bones.

I am enraged at the pain and suffering of other women.

We are so lucky to have the luxury of speech. But the landai
is a weapon that a woman can hide in her garments or wiles.

  1. Two lines can contain a wealth of outrage. Your words certainly contain the spirit of oppressed women the world over.

  6. First time here, thanks to the landai prompt! Your single landai is like a call to redemption, to breaking the chains. Even here in America, there is a war on women - yet, as I well know, it's nothing compared to the iron fist put on the women of Afghanistan, Iran, and other countries... Peace to you, Amy
